I landed in Canada and my dear dear friend picked me up at the airport.

She and I were wearing the exact same skirt, and that was perfect, a sign that nothing has changed, despite the fact that we both have little ones, she's a home owner and I live on the other side of the world.

We watched our kids tear around the house, my girl suddenly discovering a newfound frearlessness trying to keep up with the big boy, and he watching over her, making sure she was enjoying the games he picked.

Dinner amid the chaos of two happy babes who acted as if they had known each other their entire lives was lovely. Perfect.
