280 / 366 {fountain}

We live in the literal heart of the city, where, right outside our front door, Jakarta's biggest intersection hums along (or rather beeps and honks while standing stock still.) We're flanked by five-star hotels, luxury malls, and cars so exclusive, I don't even recognize them.

But on Sunday mornings, the roads are closed to cars, and bikers and pedestrians take over. Suddenly, real Jakarta emerges, regular people take to the streets, and here, little kids play in a fountain that for the other six days a week would be totally inaccessible for them.
