289-294 / 366 {A chronicle of life as it exists in 88 boxes.}

Eighty-eight boxes arrived on my living room floor this week. Eighty-eight boxes that voyaged across oceans, traversed the equator, and endured the most prolonged and undignified of episodes, namely an extended stay in Indonesian customs.

Needless to say, life has been quite shambolic these past few days. Also needless to say, I haven't spent much time with my big-girl camera. Or my big-girl pants for that matter, but that's another story for another day.

I guess what I'm telling you by way of this rambling preamble is that I took a few pictures with my iPhone, and haven't so much as touched my DSLR. INor have I done anything interesting or noteworthy or even vaguely exotic. So. Also, I lost my iPhone for two days, and then found it again in my handbag. Yeah.

Sorry. (Deal.)

These are our boxes. There are a lot of them. I'll have you know that only half have been unpacked, ten percent have been away, and that our window sill is currently housing all of our books.

The first thing to be unpacked was Stella's bike. And the first thing that we did with Stella's bike was ride it down the hallway.

One box contained nothing but shoes. I'm fairly embarrassed by that.

Yup, this is basically how our house has looked for the past week.

One little bright spot is this paper, batik printed on repurposed cement bags. It is now lining the inside of my drawers.

Linking up for InstaFriday on a Sunday because. Boxes. So many boxes.

Also linking up here.
